Customer Relations Specialist

NCARB is looking for friendly, energetic customer service professionals with great communications skills for its Customer Relations Directorate.  

The Customer Relations Specialist (CRS) provides outstanding service to students, architectural interns, registered architects and Member Boards in all Council customer relations matters. The CRS communicates with customers via telephone and e-mail. They utilize a variety of applications and system tools to navigate customer records, review, research, and apply policies and guidelines to answer inquiries and assist customers in understanding NCARB programs and services that facilitate the pathway to licensure and certification.

The CRS must develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Council’s programs, rules, requirements, technologies and Customer Relations’ performance and service standards.  This individual will provide customer service for assigned periods to answer customer calls on all Council record services; be available as necessary to cover customer service calls, respond to incidents (customer e-mails) within established Service Level Agreement (SLA), administer customer records utilizing system applications to record customer information, documentation and correspondence, and prepare and conduct evaluation of architects’ qualifications for NCARB Certification.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s Degree; or, combination of substantial related experience, training, and education may substitute.

·         2 or more years of relevant experience in a customer service or similar work setting that includes a demonstrated customer service mindset, attention to detail, excellent notation skills, and strong written and verbal communication.

·         Demonstrated proficiency using technology and a wide variety of software applications.

·         Familiarity with Cisco phone systems and/or Oracle e-mail management systems desired.

·         Foreign language skills a plus.

·         Some minimal travel including weekends may occasionally be required.
