Program Coordinator

NCARB’s Council Relations Directorate is seeking a highly-qualified Program Coordinator to join their team and assist them in all aspects of engagement with Member Boards and volunteers. This is a highly collaborative role that works across the Council to carry out shared goals and objectives set by leadership.

The program coordinator is primarily responsible for coordination and support of the ongoing development and implementation of Council programs for volunteer relations.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of the database hosting all Member Board Members and volunteers;
  • Ongoing maintenance of website content for the Members Only Site;
  • Logistical support for outreach visits to Member Boards;
  • Monitor and research of current issues facing architectural licensing boards;
  • Event support for Member Board Member and volunteer events.

This position reports to the Assistant Director, Volunteer Engagement and works with a wide range of professionals. The Council Relations team takes great pride in maintaining high standards of excellence to those we serve. Incumbent must have a strong work ethic, customer service attitude, and act in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

1.   Bachelor’s Degree; or, combination of substantial related experience, training, and education may substitute.

2.   At least 2 years of relevant experience in a volunteer association environment, program and event support, or related field with emphasis on customer service, attention to detail, research, and excellent organization skills.

3.   Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with wide-range of professionals.

4.   Collaborative communication style with the ability to speak and write very well and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.

5.   Detail oriented and able to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

6.   Demonstrated proficiency using technology and a wide variety of software applications to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe (PDF) Applications. 

7.   Some minimal travel including weekends may occasionally be required.
