Program Specialist

NCARB’s Experience + Education Directorate is seeking a highly-qualified Program Specialist to join the E+E team and assist them in all aspects of E+E program administration, events, outreach efforts and, providing excellent service to students, licensure candidates, architects, and licensing boards across the United States and sharing the Council’s message on the pathway to licensure.

As part of a team effort in fulfilling the Experience + Education Directorate’s goals, the program specialist will be responsible for coordinating E+E program administration; serving as a subject matter expert and a primary point of contact to support and assist in carrying out a range of technical assistance and customer service to multiple stakeholders in all matters related to E+E programs and services; and, assisting and supporting outreach events and initiatives.

This position reports to the Assistant Director, Experience + Education and is a highly collaborative role working with a wide range of professionals. The Experience + Education team takes great pride in maintaining high standards of excellence to those we serve. Incumbent must have a strong work ethic and a customer service attitude. A dedicated interest in the profession of architecture, facilitating licensure and helping others on their pathway to licensure is highly desired.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • An architecture license is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in volunteer association environment, program administration, architecture, education, or related field.
  • Superior customer service skills with the ability to address multiple audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with wide-range of professionals.
  • Collaborative communication style with the ability to speak and write very well and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using technology and a wide variety of software applications to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe (PDF) Applications. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time, including weekends
